hela Sverige QRIOS Life Science are looking for a Scientist specializing in protein characterization to join the section of Protein Science and Engineering at BioArctic, a Swedish biopharma company with a focus on disease-modifying treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, for a long consultant assignment.

About the position
As a scientist you will be part of discovery project and contribute knowledge and hands-on experience in analytical techniques for protein quality testing, stability characterization and formulation development. Analytical methods that are used include, but are not limited to chromatography (eg HP-SEC, IEX RP, HIC), gel electrophoresis and biophysical characterization (fluorescence and light scattering) for structural characterization.
As a scientist you are responsible for planning, execution, documenting and reporting of your work according to established routines and guidelines. Together with your team members you are expected to ensure that the project is continuously updated with the latest scientific developments in the field.
Your profile
We are looking for a researcher with a broad experience in protein characterization and preferably a background in early drug discovery of biopharma. Experience of early developability assessment of biologics is an advantage.
Qualifications:
• Educated to a minimum of BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Knowledge of protein chemistry and biophysical methods involved in characterization and formulation of proteins.
• Hands-on experience of analyzing proteins by methods such as chromatography (eg SEC, IEX, RP, HIC), gel electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing (IEF) fluorescence spectroscopy and static/dynamic light scattering (SLS/DLS).
• Experience in setting up protein stability studies.
As a person, you are result oriented, can take initiative, and drive your activities autonomously. To succeed in this role, you need to be systematic, be committed to the progress of the project, and possess good analytical skills.
