Role overview
SAP Center of Excellence is a part of Scania IT that aims to provide Scania with cross-functional strategic guidance and unified SAP solutions. As part of a new strategic direction, SAP CoE has been integrated into the same organization as our ERP Digital Core section that works on major Scania cross-functional platforms such as D365, MS AX, CRM, and SAP.
We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Specialist with expertise in Master Data Governance (MDG) functions and load processes to join our team. As a key member of our SAP implementation projects, you will be responsible for leading and executing data migration activities, ensuring the accurate and timely transfer of master data from legacy systems to SAP environments. Your role will focus on leveraging your deep understanding of SAP data structures, migration methodologies, and MDG data load procedures to drive successful data migration outcomes within threshold Data quality compliance percentage.

You get to be involved in projects for further rollout of the SAP system within the Supply Chain Business process. In these projects, you will be at the forefront, of designing architecture based on process requirements and application and system landscape. You need to also Guard the integrity of the solution and stick to the standard. When required, analyse, and define requirements for customer-specific development needs or integration requirements, support in the review process and support in the change process.
Desired qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP data migration projects, with specific experience in MDG data load processes.
• Documented experience from at least 1 full-cycle SAP implementation project with cross-functional master data activities.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP data structures, master data objects, and data migration methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG data loading, data load configuration, and validation rules setup.
• Proficiency in SAP Data Services, LMTC, or other ETL tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Experience working with data quality metrics and data cleansing for enterprise data, including both SAP and non-SAP data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and identify data quality issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• SAP certifications in relevant modules are a plus.
• Good to have automotive industry-specific experience.
• Experience with agile project methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
On top of that, the following are the top factors required to succeed in the role:
• Fluency in English both written and spoken, Swedish is optional.
• Profound understanding of SAP product/service portfolio in master data management incl. Master Data migration to MDG on S/4HANA.
• Understanding of business processes, with a focus on processes involving MD objects like BP, material, BoM, GL-account, and PC/CC
• Good communication skills and ability to ask questions and present proposed architecture to business- and IT stakeholders.
• Good understanding of SAP Activate methodology and MD-related deliveries expected in different stages of implementation.
We expect that you should be able to conduct the following activities:
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on data migration best practices and methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution scope, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
• Monitor and optimize data migration processes to ensure efficient and successful outcomes.
• Working together with a team of cross-functional IT professionals and business stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of tasks defined in the MD area of all implementation phases.
