As an R&D Line Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our organization, where your primary mission is to inspire, support, guide, and coach our teams to foster creativity and engagement. You will be supported by our company 's technological vision, ensuring that we shape our strategy and drive development initiatives that will establish our organization as a leader in Access Control.
In your role, you will lead and coach development teams focused on the Hospitality sector. These teams are agile and cross-functional, working on cloud-based and firmware products.
A key focus of the role is to provide strong leadership within the development process and talent development.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing and developing a world-class team of developers distributed across multiple locations
• Overseeing the development of our software deliveries in a timely manner with a strong emphasis on quality, security, and customer relevance
• Responsibility for the budget of the development teams
• Participating in the development and maintenance of processes to manage product development, including key milestones, specifications, Epics, timelines, and budgets
• Motivating and engaging engineering teams
• Promoting a high-performance, results-driven environment
• Ensuring that the software and firmware teams provide technical assistance to other departments
• Managing and planning certifications for our products and solutions
This role is as a consultant via Adecco with planned start on November 1st, and will initially go on until first 1 march 2024.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you will need to possess:
• Strong leadership skills
• Hands-on experience in leading highly skilled engineers, including conducting development and salary discussions
• Technical proficiency to understand daily challenges faced by your team members
• A deep understanding of the capabilities and limitations of software and embedded systems
• Documented knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the organization
• Organizational, analytical, and management skills
• Familiarity with Hospitality products and market trends
• A proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results
• A team player who brings a sense of positive energy and the ability to influence, inspire, and motivate cross-functional partners within the organization
About You
You are the right fit for this role if you possess:
• Strong technical expertise and vision
• A demonstrated history of leading teams and delivering solutions in a timely manner and of high quality
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as you will serve as the bridge between Product Development and R&D
• A curious and eager-to-learn attitude
• The ability to communicate complex procedures and a strong commercial and business acumen
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• A master 's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Flexibility and reliability to adapt to changing business requirements
