Six years have passed and we have grown to an ambitious and creative company of 600 employees. We have been awarded Company of the Year in -07 (bragging), increased our turnover by 13 570 % (statistics) and managed to become the Nordic market leader (facts). Klarna is partly owned by Sequoia Capital, DST Global and General Atlantic - companies that have seen the same potential in Google, Facebook and Twitter as they do in us. We think that is a good start.
Working tasks
Trying to purchase something is still far from a perfect experience, especially online. Not only are you taken through a tedious sign-up process, you're also expected to trust the merchant and pay them before you even get to look at the merchandise. No wonder that only 9% of total commerce is done online: it's just not easy enough. Klarna is looking to solve all that.
In the past 7 years Klarna has branched out to Scandinavia and Europe. Being faced with rapid expansion we need even more competent and driven staff to help us on our way. This is why the risk department is currently looking for another star!
Within the risk department the Analytics & Forecasting team's responsibility is split into two parts; one part consists of following certain key risk indicators, the other part consists of project based work and ad-hoc analysis. Within this team you will constantly be challenged with new and exciting work tasks and the results will often play a vital role in Klarna's decision - making process. The new person joining will play a vital part in analyzing the health report of our portfolio. This will mean a lot of cooperation with other departments at Klarna.
Other tasks for this position will be:
• Perform analysis and ad-hoc investigations and present the results to all levels of the organization, ranging from the risk department, sales and marketing and all the way up to the boardroom
• Maintaining existing reports and deliver results to concerned parties in order to improve the performance of different areas of the business
• Constantly strive to develop data sources and its contents in order to ensure data quality
• Get acquainted with new tools for handling large data sets, as well as exploring new solutions and techniques
Who are you?
You have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working with numbers. You need to be innovative and have the ability to see solutions where others see dead ends. We always like to give talented people a shot and we accept junior applicants to - so even if you're not highly experienced you should apply. If you have experience of SAS, SQL and from consumer credit and e-commerce is a plus.
