Our Exciting Opportunity!
Ericsson is now heavily investing in the future 5G technology where in-house IC (Integrated Circuit) development is key. Accordingly, we will strengthen our RFIC validation team in Lund, Sweden. We are looking for RFIC (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) Design and Validation Engineers, who will work as part of a team developing state-of-the-art coordinated and integrated RF/mixed-signal transceiver ICs. The teams are responsible for the full IC from the early phases to the final product approval. Sounds exciting? Apply now!
The ideal candidate will have the skills vital all the way from architectural choices, specification and implementation of IP-blocks to validation of the component in lab. But we are also hiring persons with expertise in only parts of the development flow. The projects are often run in multi-site and therefore good cooperation skills and excellent team work is needed.
This role reports to Line Manager of RFIC Validation in Lund.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Validation and evaluation of the RFIC in the lab
• Close collaboration and troubleshooting with the designers of each IP
• Development of Test Environment Software
• Project specific test cases, Instrument drivers and Test environment improvements
• Supporting test board development
• Result handling, including presentation of results and reporting
To be successful in the role you must have
• MSc in Electrical Engineering or PhD degree
• The ability and skills to perform IC measurements
• Experience of mm- wave design (beneficial)
• Experience and knowledge with state-of-the-art instruments
• Previous experience with cellular standards
• Excellent communication and presentation skill in English
• Very good ability to empower yourself and own drive in way of working
• Good cooperation skills
