We are looking for an experienced researcher for our research team in Borås.
The RISE department Infrastructure and Concrete Technology has one of the leading groups in Sweden within cementitious materials research. In the unit Material Design, we are focusing on the development and testing of sustainable cement-based materials and components close to the market. Within the unit we are 20 enthusiastic colleagues dealing with close-to-market research and services for clients.
About the position
The position is for strengthening our existing research team in Borås. The main work tasks include applying, planning and executing/leading projects related to the development of sustainable cement-based materials and to the implementation of new technologies to help transform our industry and society towards a significantly lower environmental footprint. Within our research team you will work self-reliantly but in close communication and collaboration with team members, project leaders and clients. The position requires a high flexibility but also excellent team working skills.
Who are you?
You have a PhD in civil engineering, chemistry or material science. You have a solid academic research experience in the chemical and engineering properties of construction materials but also good skills in leading research teams and projects. Experience from industry is seen as an additional benefit and/or experience with chemical/thermodynamical modelling of material systems. You should have a good expertise in the analytical methods for inorganic, mineral based materials but also thrive to work with clients and partners within commissioned research projects. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and you like to work in an international team of specialists. You can plan and lead research projects self-reliantly, in excellent quality, timely and reliably.
