About us
RISE Computer Science department is the leading Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence lab in Sweden.
You will be joining a unit with a focus on distributed computing in the Edge to Cloud continuum working with Space, Quantum- and High Perfomance Computing. Together with partners and customers from industry and academia we develop sustainable and energy-efficient systems at the frontier of applied science.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to work at a leading and rapidly growing research institute with excellent development opportunities. You will contribute to Digital Earth Sweden, the Swedish Space Data Lab, and develop RISE's position within the space sector. In this role, you will help strengthen Swedish and European sovereignty in digital and AI solutions for space. With a scientific mindset, you will engage in applied research, combining theory and practice. This position is a permanent, full-time employment.
For this position there might be a security clearance requirement at a later stage

You have:
- a PhD in physics, mathematics, earth systems, computer science or equivalent
- experience from software- or web development
- worked with earth observation data or global digital twins
- worked with AI and large foundation models
- excellent writing and communication skills
Experience from writing funding applications or working with industry is merited but not required.
