SciLifeLab is a national research infrastructure. In Stockholm, the SciLifeLab Campus Solna serves as an extra shared campus of Stockholm Trio (KI, KTH, SU) and is the only SciLifeLab site that co-localizes researchers from multiple universities under one roof. The position will be associated with Professor Per O. Ljungdahl's research group located at SciLifeLab Campus Solna. Read more about Group Ljungdahl here.
Main responsibilities
The researcher will utilize state-of-the-art approaches aimed at obtaining a fundamental molecular understanding of the mechanisms underlying nutrient controlled expression of virulence traits in common human fungal pathogens of the Candida spp.
Qualification requirements
Researchers are appointed primarily for purposes of research and must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.
Assessment criteria
In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in experimental biology. Experience beyond the doctoral degree is not required, however applicants must have demonstrated productivity in pursuing research in relevant or related disciplines. Relevant expertise includes molecular microbiology, infection biology or fungal pathogen-host interactions. We are looking for a highly motivated and focused individual. Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, are a requisite.
Terms of employment
The position involves full-time employment for 12 months. Start date 2024-01-02 or as per agreement.
