The project is a collaborative initiative between several academic platforms, providing an excellent milieu for an eager early-career scientist with focus on learning and building research experience.
Information about the project
The position is part of the research group of PI professor Anna Karlsson-Bengtsson at the division of Chemical Biology, Dept of Biology and Biotechnology. The group was previously located at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University and close collaboration with preclinical and clinical research groups are maintained and will be explored in the context of the resources and competences given by the new location at Chalmers.
Major responsibilities
Your major responsibilities is to plan, perform and analyze experimental work within ongoing described project(s) and merit yourself by producing good quality research reported in scientific journals and at conferences. In addition, you are expected to be able to communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing in English.
You are also expected to take active part and in building and maintaining collaborative links with members of the research team in-house as well as with external partners. You will also be responsible for developing new methods, models and research directions and take shared responsibility for maintaining the laboratory.
Contract terms
Full-time temporary employment.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have a PhD level degree in a relevant field, e.g. Biotechnology or Immunobiology with a strong background in the field of immunobiology and inflammation-related research. You must have developed and demonstrated research ability and ability to independently formulate research questions.
