To do this, we've built a great international working environment that's full of world-class talent, and opportunities for collaboration and innovation. If you're inspired to make a difference and ready to discover what you can do - join us.

Our stunning campus in Gothenburg is one of AstraZeneca's three strategic science centres. The site is home to over 2,500 employees, from 50 different nationalities. Gothenburg includes the complete range of functions, and as such offers plenty of development opportunities for a wide range of professionals. Our science teams in Gothenburg collaborate with academic and industry partners in Sweden and globally. And the site itself was designed with collaboration in mind. From the Coffee Lab to exercise areas, we've built a series of environments where innovation can happen.

We are now hiring a Research Scientist to join the Sample Management department with placement in Gothenburg, Sweden. Do you want to join a department with excellent scientists in an environment where absolutely everyone can thrive?

Sample Management scientists are responsible for the storage and timely supply of human biological samples (HBS) as well as chemical compounds to projects. HBS are received from e.g. clinical studies or academic collaborations, stored in the local biobank and distributed to projects. We supply compound samples to projects both in solid and liquid format, but the focus is on the supply of small volumes of liquid samples using highly automated systems.

The group primarily supports the Sweden Region but partners with other teams globally to provide efficient support across AstraZeneca and our partner organisations.

We strive hard to understand what fits our customers' needs and to deliver excellent support through our services. Our facility and service is leading edge and to maintain this position we actively seek ways to improve our process or exploit new technology.
