We are looking for a Research engineer within organic solar cells at the department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Duties
The position is part of the Knut and Alice Wallenberg-funded project "All organic printed solar modules", which is devoted to scale up and verification of industrial roll to roll production of organic solar modules.

You will work on design, fabrication and characterization of flexible organic solar modules within the OPV team in the Biomolecular and Organic Electronics group. You will mainly focus on optimizing the solar modules in the lab scale and transfer the results to the roll-to-roll production facilities at the Printed Electronics Arena. The modules will be produced using slot-die coating both on the small and large roll-to-roll scale.

Your work includes following the scientific literature to keep up-to-date within the subject area of ??the project.

The project requires regular written and oral reports on progress and presenting the results at internal meetings.

Location
You will work at the IFM Department Biomolecular and Organic Electronics (Biorgel). Small scale laboratory work takes place in Linköping (Campus Valla) and the work of roll to roll manufacturing at the Printed Electronics Arena in Norrköping.

Qualifications
Degree, MSc or PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science or related areas.

Experience of printed electronic devices and characterization thereof and experience within roll-to-roll manufacturing are meriting. Extra meriting is earlier work with organic solar cells and slot-die coating.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and ability to clearly communicate and cooperate with colleagues and personnel.

Strong inner motivation for problem solving.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Form of employment
The appointment will last for 18 months.

By agreement, as soon as possible.
