At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, communications officers, network technicians and engineers. Here we have the research specialisations of Embedded Systems, and Innovation and Product Realisation. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.
The research environment Embedded Systems (ES) at Mälardalen University (MDH) announce a Research Engineer position in Computer Science. ES is the nationally leading center in embedded-system research and internationally known for the ability to combine the highest academic standard with industrially relevant research. ES provides a stimulating international research environment, characterized by its cooperative atmosphere, openness, and team spirit - a great environment for a researcher to grow in; with a mix of over 200 established and young researchers.

Position description
This position is defined in the scope of the projects: Competence needs and courses for professionals in IT and competitive production, Prompt
http://www.promptedu.se and SimuSafe (SIMUlation of behavioural aspects for SAFEr transport.)
http://simusafe.eu.The position includes the following tasks:
• Practical development within the courses e.g., implement examples of machine learning algorithms for industries
• Working with learning platforms
• Course web-site development
• Course materials documentation
• Practical development within the project Simusafe
• Define recruitment procedure for test persons (elderly individuals) in the project Simusafe
• Implementation of test persons recruitment procedure
• Field study and data collection using simulator
• Field study documentation
• Data representation controller
Qualification requirements
You should have a master's level degree in Intelligent Embedded Systems. Working experience in company, knowledge about machine learning, cloud computing, programming languages like Python or Java, and frameworks like, TensorFlow is considered a merit.
The position requires strong programming skills in C/C++, as well as good verbal and written communication skills in English.
