hela Sverige The Research Coordinator will develop and maintain Volvo CE?s research portfolio to support development of novel technologies and methods. As research coordinator, you will also be responsible to formulate new research projects and obtaining public funding related to the major strategic objectives of our business. To do so you will not only react to solicitations published by governments, but also help to build a strong global public affairs network in order to actively influence such that solicitations are created specifically in support of Volvo needs.As part of this one part is to maintain the Volvo CE university research and education support strategy, identifying target universities for long-term mutual beneficial relationships based on appropriate technical strengths, proven collaboration skills, location and government connections.The role also includes coordinating activities and representing Volvo CE in undergraduate education support activities at key universities.
Core Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining university research relationships
Initiate research projects to support Volvo CE R&D needs
Secure that external research projects align with research strategy and funding requirements
Initiate and maintain undergraduate education projects
Coordinate internships and thesis works
Travel up to 20%

Minimum Years of Experience Required
Research background preferred, Lic.Eng/PhD
Experience from working in academia and/or writing grant applications
5+ years experience in industrial research and engineering education
Experience in strategic work
Technology oriented and understanding for our research needs
Excellent spoken and written English
