The department consists of several units that are separated into different research groups. The core activities of the department are research, doctoral education and undergraduate education for medical and biomedical students. The research has three main profiles: allergy, cardiovascular medicine and inflammatory diseases.
Division
The unit of clinical epidemiology is one of the largest divisions at the Department of medicine, Solna.
The research performed in the unit is mainly clinical epidemiology, using national health care registers to assess questions of clinical importance. Most research groups leaders are clinically active physicians, but there is now a growing full-time staff consisting of administrators, statisticians, epidemiologists, and researchers with other backgrounds than medical degrees. We are now looking for a research assistant to work in our inflammation group with questions pertaining to maternal health in patients with inflammatory diseases.
Duties
We are now looking for a research assistant who is interested in maternal health in inflammatory disease. Your main responsibilities will be to set up a study protocol, to perform analysis and to draft a manuscript based on the findings from the analysis. You will be supervised by an experienced researcher.
Entry requirements
We are looking for a research assistant with a Master degree in Public Health Epidemiology, or someone who is about to finalize her/his Master studies within Public Health Epidemiology. You must be proficient in English and SAS programming. Experience in analysis of the Swedish Medical Birth Register and maternal health in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies is highly meritorious. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
