The Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKE) is one of the university's largest departments, with operations mainly in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Our aim is to engage in medical and biomedical education and research of high international standing. At undergraduate level the department is responsible for most of the medical programme, the speech and language pathology programme and the medical biology programme.

Your future work assignments
The Research Assistant will work in a research project aimed at extending our knowledge concerning how the Wnt signalling pathway is transduced in a transcriptional output in different cellular contexts, during early mammalian embryonic development. To do so, we will exploit advanced culture systems combined with genome engineering technologies.
Your future workplace
You will be working at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKE) that exist within the Faculty of Medicine at Linköping University. The aim of the
activities of IKE is to conduct high quality biomedical research and education at the national and international top level, for the benefit of health care. The department
has about 400 employees. Organizationally, you will belong to the Division of Microbiology, Infection and Inflammation.
Your qualifications
We are searching for someone with a University Degree, the same level to qualify to PhD studies. The Research Assistant must possess scientific curiosity-driven experimental skills, passion for science and motivation, and the desire to combine sophisticated culture systems with novel genome engineering approaches.
Necessary requirements to apply for this position:
• Previous experience in culturing mouse embryonic stem cells (mESC) and murine embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs).
