hela Sverige Executive is a business area within Manpower Professional, specialised on top management level recruitment and interim management.
Executive is currently looking for a RD Manager for an international client. The client are looking to strengthen the management team with an R&D Manager. The R&D Manager is part of the management team and reports directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
• Take full responsibility for the Operational R&D process.
• The responsibility includes R&D activities within mechanics, electronic board design, firmware and Application Software.
• The process involves new product development, industrialisation, maintenance and reengineering assignments.
• Constantly develop and improve the process and team competence to deliver best in class operations.
• Lead and motivate a team of experienced engineers and programmers.
• Interact with other important stakeholders such as Product Line Management, Operations, Test & Validation etc.
• Correctly estimate projects to meet performance, time and cost criteria.
• Monitoring projects and take corrective actions in case of deviations.
• Managing resource allocation to various projects including partners for R&D.
Who are you?
The successful applicant must have a broad knowledge and at least 10 years of experience from complex R&D activities in an environment with Mechatronics and Software. Experience from work in a management team as well as hands on experience is a must. A track record of clear and measurable performance improvements is essential.
Knowledge / Education requirements:
University Degree in Engineering and fluency in English is required coupled with further competence development in the selected areas.
Personality requirements:
You must be analytical, open and cooperative. Other valued traits are initiative, decisiveness and self drive. You must be eager to get a grip of the total picture as well as follow details and be truly passionate about creating your own value to the company. In order to successfully drive the person needs a background of managing an R&D department with highly complex and fine tolerance mechatronics systems with a broad range of materials as well as multi layer software. The experience should include product later manufactured in medium size volumes. Preferably this experience is from a multinational operation. Important is also to have been responsible at management team level for similar areas.The job requires travelling primarily to the various sites in Sweden and suppliers.
