We are looking for a Requirements and Safety Engineer
for our Stockholm office
Your Role
In this role you will work for our RCS (Rail Control Solution) Division in Stockholm.
One part of the role is the identification, definition, analysis and documentation of all safety-related aspects of a subsystem or system. Such as definition and analysis of safety-relevant functions, maintaining hazard databases, FTAs, FMECA specifications, hazard analysis and related tasks in conjunction with constructing the safety case of a product.
Another part of the role is to identify input requirements (typically from a customer) and to formalize them into requirements and interface specifications. From that point the Requirements and Safety Engineer supports other project stakeholders in their parts of implementing projects.
This includes liaising with customers, systems engineers, validators, assessors, homologation authorities and other stakeholders. The work of the Requirements and Safety Engineer is guided by the relevant BT processes and industry standards.
The Requirements and Safety Engineer seeks continuous feedback regarding the systems and subsystems used by active participation in integration, laboratory and field tests, by soliciting and receiving information and feedback about the customer/user experience and the use of systems in actual applications.
Additional tasks might be allocated according to the individual skills of the Requirements and Safety Engineer and current company requirements.
Your Experience and Qualifications
• Experience with analyzing and designing signalling or other safety systems
• Experience with the methodologies for analyzing and specifying systems including safe functions
• Experience with specification and documentation of complex technical systems
• Knowledge of relevant standardization and specification
• Knowledge of communication systems
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders and to resolve conflicts
• Presentation skills
• Some knowledge in software engineering (real-time, distributed, safe and fault-tolerant systems, distributed systems)
• Some experience in hardware engineering
• Some experience in product development
• Good command of the English language
• Knowledge of and experience with general IT tools (MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Visio)
