The position will be located in Västerås, Sweden.
Purpose of the job:
Work extensively with embedded systems and software/ FPGA development within the propulsion control and protection system of trains. Perform requirements collection, investigations, simulations, design, implementation, testing, as well as maintenance. Using the aforementioned experience to also support other team member and staff in the field of signal processing and digital electronics being part of control system.
Knowledge and understanding of embedded systems (HW and/or SW) is required and experience from product development, is beneficial. Experience from safety, quality assurance, tool validation, and other safety applications are beneficial.
Key responsibilities:
• Development of new solutions, architecture and software design.
• Maintaining and refactoring of existing software.
• Evaluating and implementing ways to incorporate existing or new technologies.
• Regular reviews of code and technical documents, determine appropriate technical solutions, and make relevant recommendation.
• Analyzing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment based on the analysis of information or on practices and precedence.
• Technical validation and assessments.
Qualifications:
• Master?s or higher degree within Electronics Engineering.
• Fluency in English. Swedish language is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in embedded systems (at least 3 years previously working with FPGA/ VHDL, C and/ or hardware development).
• Relevant experience working with real-time systems (including operating systems).
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Computer Communication.
• Ability to read and write technical documents.
• Signal processing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive person.
