At R&D Tubular Products we work with product development of tubular products in stainless steel, nickel alloys, titanium alloys and zirconia alloys as well as other advanced alloys, to strengthen our market position and meet increasing demands. We provide support to the different business units regarding tubular products by conducting material studies and providing knowledge about our products. A focus area is to develop materials for sustainable energy solutions.
We are now looking for a dedicated unit Manager who has a genuine interest in materials and people.
Job Summary
As Manager for the Product development of High Temperature Applications and Special Metals unit, you have an important mission to actively support the development of the tubular products within this segment. You lead and develop your team to build knowledge about our current and future products and support Division Tube in technical matters related to our tube materials. You work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to understand the demands of our products and plan the activity thereafter.
The position is based in Sandviken, Sweden. Some global travelling is required.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a MSc or higher education, preferably in materials science, physics or chemical engineering. Ideally, you are knowledgeable regarding tube products; their applications and manufacturing processes and you have some experience from product development and research. Previous leadership experience is merited.
Since you will actively participate in technical discussions in an international context within the competence area, excellent communication skills in English are a prerequisite for the position, and knowledge of Swedish is desirable. Furthermore, you have a proven ability to establish and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally.
