Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
The work will deal with the elucidation of molecular mechanism behind an increased freezing tolerance in a number of oat lines identified from a TILLING-population. A number of biochemical and physiological tests will also be performed on these lines. The idea is to go all the way from cold hardy prototype lines in the lab to commercial winter oat varieties.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
We are seeking a scientist with a PhD in plant molecular biology. An ideal background would be documented merits in bioinformatics, plant biology, molecular biology and plant stress biology, preferably cold stress. Hands on experience with non-model plants like oat is a plus.
