Overview
The Global Hygiene Category (GHC) leads Essity's hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation for our three business areas; Incontinence Care, Consumer Goods and Professional Hygiene.
Within GHC, we are searching for a Prototyping Technician to our Laboratory Services team within R&D Personal Care Core.
The Prototyping Technician will be supporting R&D projects with creating product prototypes, which is used for verifying tests for external stakeholders and our laboratories. You are also going to assist the product developers with the conceptualization of ideas at an early stage of a development project.
The role is located in Gothenburg and you will report to the R&D Manager Test Products & Specification Administration.

Main Tasks
Based on orders from internal stakeholders, build and/or repackage products that are going to be used for laboratory tests
Build prototypes to visualize product ideas together with Product Developers
Coordinate and inform colleagues and other stakeholders about the status of the assignments
Document the work after completing assignments (timeframe, approach etc. in writing and pictures)
Contribute with improvement ideas in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to develop existing and new methods for developing new prototypes

Key Competencies
Technical degree or relevant experience within technical field
Dexterous, have the ability to perform hands-on, practical work making prototypes.
Technical skills - ability to adjust and configure equipment, perform easier maintenance on machines and be able to coordinate technical improvement ideas
Service minded and good ability to collaborate
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written
