We are responsible for ABB's strategic research and development worldwide in the areas of power systems, power products and electrical machines. The department is a highly international environment with 130 researchers and engineers from all over the world working at the forefront of research and development in the field of power technology.
The challenge: As R&D Engineer with us, you will lead research projects in the area of power electronics. With focus on HVDC and FACTS applications your assignments will include topology evaluations and control and modulation strategies for power electronics converters.
The requirements: You combine a M.Sc. in Power Electronics with some years? industrial experience within the area. In addition, you are familiar with EMTDC/PSCAD and Matlab/Simulink. Experience in converters topology as well as power electronics systems modeling and simulation is valued. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite while Swedish skills are advantageous.
