We are currently looking for a quantitative analyst to work in the CQR Security Stockholm team. The team has two functions: we develop new fraud detection and prevention methods, and we act as a quantitative analysis competence centre for projects anywhere within the company. As part of our team, you will get the opportunity to work for one of the market leaders in the fast growing market of online gaming and live betting. Our Work environment is as serious as in a bank or at the stock exchange and as fun and creative as the gaming industry.
Your place at the table
You will be working in a team with specialists that take on varied and demanding tasks to improve bwin’s products. Currently the team focuses partly on fraud detection and prevention, partly on creating models to help bookmakers in setting odds. Although you will first work on odds modeling for our sportsbook, you are expected to take on a broader set of challenges to improve the company’s core business logic in a way that will benefit bwin and possibly impact the whole gaming industry.
Your gaming skills and experience
We expect that you have a research degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics or physics. Ideally you have worked with quantitative finance modelling or similar. You are comfortable with developing your ideas into working prototypes. You are probably not a fully-fledged software developer, however you are a competent and confident programmer. Previous experience with poker or sports betting is desirable.

You are a genuinely interested and curious professional. You like to take on challenges that require you to head into the unknown in search of a novel solution, and you have the drive to deliver that solution in full detail. You learn new domain fields quickly and are able to apply your knowledge and skills to new challenges immediately. You work well under ambitious deadlines. You will work alone or with other experts but also have the ability to clearly explain your findings to non-experts in the projects you are involved in.
