As we grow on an international scale and disrupt markets with a new product, quality sits at the heart of our organisation. Now we are looking for a new Quality Manager who will ensure that our product performance meets the customer specifications and who will also define the methods and equipment used to measure a process's key quality characteristics. Reporting to our CTO, the main responsibilities will include overseeing everyday factory floor activities to acting as a liaison between suppliers and customers. Our Quality Manager will gather customer feedback as well as information from Operations to create best practice and improve procedures across the organisation.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems to assure the quality of existing products and the development and implementation of new products
• Continually review product performance and processes and when indicated making recommendations within policy guidelines concerning product performance as reflected by accumulated data
• Develop systems to manage customer defect analysis, corrective actions, and report root cause analysis
• Review in-process data from manufacturing processes and facilitate corrective and preventive actions as appropriate
• Summarise and present data to Engineering Department regarding product verification, manufacturing, vendor and field complaints. Make recommendations for engineering evaluation toward problem elimination
• Recommending Engineering and Operations Departments on process improvements including fixtures, tools, jigs, inspection and test devices required to maintain the desired quality and reliability
• Conduct testing on prototypes, first shots and trial runs. Record and report the results
• Conduct Design Verification and Product verification as required
• Test, inspect, analyse, and complete vendor initial Sample Inspection Reports on new products or design changes as required. Assist localisation programme in all testing areas as required
• Coordinator and active participant for FMEA, FA;
• Develop, install and maintain QC sampling plans and procedures
• Analyse customer complaints and warranty claims. Identify causes and responsibilities and initiate corrective action
• Develop and maintain Yield reports
• Owner of SIP, PQP , Cpk, GR&R
• Develop and maintain KPI's related to the R&D Department
You Are
You are someone who is extremely detail-oriented and have an analytical mind. As you will be interfacing with cross-functional teams on a daily basis need to be comfortable with getting buy-in from various key stakeholders and have the ability drive different teams towards a common goal. You are also comfortable with creating and reviewing technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents. You also need to have:
• Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 4 years in a quality related field and 3 years experience in a supervisory or management position
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
