Purchasing Program Manager, Volvo Cars Purchasing

As PURCHASNG PROGRAM MANAGER the primary role within the Program Management is to ensure that the Purchasing Milestone deliverables for the respective area (Body&Trim, EESE, Chassis, Powertrain) are met and that the requirements are effectively communicated to and executed by the Purchasing Line Organizations.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of the car programs from a Purchasing perspective. It is critical that candidates are able to combine leading a highly motivated team with working in a very demanding atmosphere in order to deliver flawless execution of new products.

Job profile:
• Ensure that the Purchasing Milestone deliverables according to our Global Product Development System are met and report these in the related project forums
• Ensure that all prerequisites for Purchasing are available on time and that the Purchasing activities are reflected in the overall project time plan
• Proactively drive, steer and report purchasing project activities to the line organizations for Program related issues
• Communicate Program information, such as program timing, program volume- and capacity prerequisites and supplier performance to the Line Organizations
• Steer and follow-up with the Line Organizations to reach Quality, Cost and Delivery targets in respective projects
• Support Purchasing Line organizations in Activities/Program Routines/Processes
• Participate in Development and Implementation of Purchasing Program Processes when required

Your profile:
• Educated to University level and/or long experience in Purchasing Project work
• Good project management and analytical skills
• Experience from the automotive industry
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Result oriented and able to show drive and creativity
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
