Sandvik Materials Technology is currently implementing the SMT Business System, one of the most extensive change programs ever within the company. In purchasing, the purpose is to establish operational excellence by implementing the SMT Purchasing System, which is based on LEAN principles. In order to achieve this, Sandvik is looking for change-orientated professionals who are passionate about working with people to establish a culture of continuous improvement.
Key performance areas
As a Purchasing Navigator you will support the improvement process in Sandvik Materials Technology?s purchasing processes worldwide. You will work in a project team consisting of navigators and line representatives, supporting the organization in designing and implementing the SMT Purchasing System. Leadership skills together with core knowledge in purchasing will be further developed.

Your profile
The ideal candidate has a University degree in a relevant area with documented experience within strategic purchasing. Additional skills within management, logistics and/or supply chains are an advantage. You are experienced, but still a learner and are committed to becoming an even better teacher and coach.
The successful candidates shows insight, have confidence, drive, enthusiasm, good communication skills and a credible personality. Their excellent people and coordination skills mean that they are able to interact effectively at all levels in the organization. They are creative analysts with excellent problem-solving skills. Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal, is desired.
