Procurement is one of the key levers to reduce cost for Vattenfall. We are one of the largest buyers in the European utilities sector with around 6 billion Euros spend annually. We are now expanding with recruiting two Purchasing Market Managers with location in China and in Eastern Europe.
Responsibilities/Main tasks
Lead the work associated to the selected New Suppliers Markets initiatives in China or Eastern Europe & Turkey including:
• Overall responsible to establish and develop China or Easter Europe & Turkey as key Purchasing Market for Vattenfall and representing Procurement on the Market
• Lead/Liaise/Supervise the activities conducted by our Local Partners or our Suppliers to ensure timeliness and quality of decided activities:
• Participate in the evaluation and of the Suppliers capabilities along with technical, quality and CSR requirements
• Determine together with our Local Partners or VF Sourcing Manager the specific strategies for the selected categories and technical areas
• Participate in and lead as the case may be evaluation of the offers from the markets suppliers
• Participate in our Local Partners negotiation team or VF team with suppliers
• Participate in the initiation of contracts agreements with Suppliers together with our Local Partners.
• Develop together with our Local Partners of VF logistics solutions for the selected categories and technical areas
• Coordinate the interface between the Suppliers/our Local Partners and VF Sourcing
• Liaise with Vattenfall in its core markets:
• Sourcing and other relevant parts of Vattenfall at our core markets to ensure that RFQs are attractive from a Chinese or Easter Europe & Turkey Supplier market perspective
• Ensure sufficient and correct flow of information from and to Sourcing and various Vattenfall technical entities
• Participate to Sourcing forum as required to fine tune the strategies related to the Sourcing strategies
• Calculate/understand the total cost of supply covering cost of purchase, customs charges, Port of Import, logistics costs, inventory costs etc.
Additional input to the two roles:
• China: Act very much as a business facilitator, with strong market knowledge and commercial experience from China. Set the first stones to a potential upcoming Vattenfall Purchasing Office in China.
• Eastern Europe & Turkey: More concrete "doer", with strong market knowledge and commercial experience from Eastern Europe and Turkey. Larger Sourcing experience/knowledge.
We are looking for individuals with
• Independently cooperate with local partners and/or suppliers to build close business relations and harvest savings
• Lead change by managing and driving change processes in a global setting
• Action oriented with high energy factor with hands-on mentality - "get things done" - and helicopter view
• Strong negotiator and be able to argue and be aware of culture differences
Education
• University degree (engineering)
• MBA
Experience
• Min 2-3 years working experience in the market
• Min 4 years procurement experience
• EE&T: min 3 years sourcing experience in the market
• EE&T: Strong negotiation skills
• EE&T: Manufacturing industry
• Project management
Skills
• Excellent English language (negotiation skills)
• EE&T: Slavic language, Russian preferred
• Swedish language is a merit
• EE&T: German is a merit
• China: Mandarin is a merit
• MS Office
