General Information
Scania Procurement is responsible for the strategic sourcing of products and services to all Scania units worldwide and we are now looking for a Group Manager of the Power Solutions team, within the department of Powertrain & Electrification. The team is diverse, skilled and dedicated in the pursuit to ensure a world-class supplier base. With sustainability in mind and a long-term perspective, the team secures the right capacity and cost structure for their respective segments.
The team currently have high focus on projects as we are in a phase of changing platforms as well as embarking on an electrification journey. Meanwhile we are also responsible for the existing products and supplier base.
Main tasks
As Procurement Manager of Power Solutions, You focus on creating the prerequisites for the team to succeed in an evolving and complex environment. Together, you and the team secure the right cost and capacity levels by developing and executing segment and supplier strategies through the sourcing's.
With solid integrity you represent the team, the department, Procurement or Scania at various occasions and in a global environment. You are also a member of Commodity Powertrain Management team. You will coach colleagues and team members in day-to-day challenges, such as negotiation tactics.

As a leader for this team, you value that target achievements come from supporting and developing people and you are using diversity and inclusion as a natural way of pursuing the goals of the team.
Your work includes plenty of interactions internally, within the VW group, with suppliers and cross-functionally and it's hence important that you naturally collaborate with others, build trust, and are clear in communication. You have a business mindset, put the team first and work according to the Scania leadership principles.
Who am I as a Manager?
I'm a 37 year old father of two, whom have worked at Scania Procurement for some 13 years. As a person I'm described as positive, target oriented and transparent. I am motivated by a dynamic and collaborative environment in which we build the foundation for our purchasers to thrive in. I appreciate transparency and believe we will be most successful when we include the perspective of the people around us.
