Job description
The Project Test Manager (PTM) will coordinate testing activities within DE during a specific project. The PTM drives a team of highly dedicated engineers assigned to the project in their daily work including work allocation, scope decision follow up, supporting, prioritizing, etc. Operationally You will report to Head of QCIVV while You will have Manager Workshop Systems as line manager.
Your main focus will be to:
• Plan validation/acceptance test globally for your assigned projects
• Allocate the team members to the testing activities (test analysis, execution, reporting)
• Allocate the test objects (rigs, test benches, trucks, i.e.) and test data
• Review and confirm the test analysis results created by Test Analysts
• Give input to "Go/No-go" decisions prior to release. Request support from Global Test Manager (GTM) if necessary
• Interrupt testing period if stopping issues are found in testing
• Compile and report results from release/project to Line PM and/or Product Release Manager
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the test effort
• Propose and drive improvements to the test manager process

Required knowledge/experience:
• A Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Physics Engineering or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience as Test Manager or Verification Leader (3+ years) and documented knowledge in software testing methodologies
• Excellent and proven leadership competence
• The traceability is a key word for quality securing of our methods and results so both planning and reporting in different tools is requested
• Genuine knowledge of the electronics/SW testing techniques and process (Implementation and Verification cycle, so called V-cycle, etc.)
• Knowledge in agile SW development way of working, preferably SAFe 4.0 or higher
• Documented knowledge in the field of embedded software
• ISTQB certification is a merit
• International and multi-cultural business experience within global organizations
• Have some aftermarket knowledge and knowledge of Volvo Group products
• Excellent English, other languages considered to be a merit
