Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is looking for a Project Planner and Hardware Leader. This position will be appointed within Project Management Support. This department is responsible for project management activities during the complete product cycle for Heavy Duty Engines for trucks and buses (European legislation) and in-house gearboxes. We do both new development and continuous improvement project execution.

The Project Planner is responsible for supporting the project management with high level time planning of the development activities within Powertrain Engineering. This includes activity planning, finding the critical path, making time plan risk judgments and finding alternative scenarios. The hardware leader is responsible to lead the project HW development tasks. This includes definition of HW content, follow up of design work progression and bill of material definition for prototype builds. The Hardware Leader will also support and consolidate parts planning.
What we are looking for?
To enjoy the work and succeed in this position it is beneficial with experience of planning and a firm belief in the necessity of project planning. The position requires ability to understand and communicate, both within Powertrain engineering regarding needs and processes, but also the effect for other areas within our company. We believe that you have a good understanding of product development process and ability to set clear targets, see risks and to find the flow in plans. You should have a university degree within a suitable area, together with skills to motivate and convince people in your surroundings.
