hela Sverige SAS IT & Digital is responsible for all IT within Scandinavian Airlines, has 140 employees and is located at SAS Head Office at Frösundavik in Solna, just outside Stockholm. The organization is divided in 4 main departments and in the role you report to Head of Digital Transformation Office (DTO).
SAS is a digital leader within travel and has a long history of developing innovative solutions that revolutionize the airline industry. An important part to maintain this position is our Digital Transformation Office. The DTO mission is to drive the overall IT & Digital development portfolio and support SAS to deliver business value in digital development with IT as a business enabler and technology innovator. Our goal is to secure quality in deliveries and to maintain high precision in planning, forecasting, follow-up and delivery.
To achieve this DTO has a competence center setup to maintain and share knowledge, principles and way-of -working within Project management / Development & Quality Assurance / Enterprise Architecture & Portfolio Governance.
To raise our game even further, we are looking for a Project Manager to enhance our team and help us to deliver even more successful projects and aligning traditional project methods with agile development frameworks.
As Project Manager you have an overall responsibility to act as a role model in projects within SAS, to support the work with our methods and tools, conduct reviews and execute project planning, delivery, follow up and steering. The Project Manager is integrated with the different business units involved in the project and make sure that business and IT are aligned and that we adhere to SAS way of working.
Think of the role almost like an internal consultant acting in business units as well as within IT with opportunity to learn about SAS different areas and challenges, always focused to deliver results based on project management ability.
Some of the main areas of responsibility
Drive projects of all sizes, often large and cross functional projects of strategic importance for SAS
Responsible for managing projects within budget, on time and with the right scope
Responsible for reporting project financials, deliverables and progress in a qualitative manor
Engage with our business units and IT to create and drive project teams and involve stakeholders towards success.
Participate or lead project quality reviews and lessons learned to facilitate knowledge sharing
Support other project managers in SAS project methodology and it 's most common tools, like risk management or how to create business cases.
Experience and Background
Master degree (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of working experience within the area
Extensive experience from project management
Both with traditional methods as well as agile, hybrid or LEAN oriented ways of working
Familiar with SAFe framework
Extensive experience from IT related projects and thus understanding of the added complexity of such
Strong communication skills and presentation techniques
Speak and write English and a Scandinavian langue fluently
You are structured, analytical, ambitious, driven and a thorough person who get things done. You are commercially driven, result oriented, take responsibility and have a will to deliver results. You like to drive project teams and you communicate easily with stakeholders on all levels. As a person, you have a high degree of independence, integrity, personal drive and capability to take own initiatives.

About our Office
Frösundavik is a great place to work. There is a gym, restaurant, café and a variety of services to make your life easier. It's located in a green area of Solna and close to Hagaparken and Brunnsviken. There's a non-stop bus connection from the Central Station to Frösunda and commuter trains to/from Solna Station. Of course, cycling is another option and many of us enjoy the scenic route to the office every day.
