Today, our products and technologies drive countless patient management decisions across prenatal diagnosis, genetic disease and oncology. We have started developing a new set of genetic tests for the massive parallel sequencing (MPS) platforms, that we believe will transform medicine and significantly improve clinical outcomes as well as health economics.
We are now looking for an experienced individual to play a vital role in our development team focused upon the development and validation of new diagnostic products utilizing targeted MPS technologies.
Comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience of MPS technologies for molecular genetics applications is required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The project manager will be responsible for supporting and leading the development of diagnostic MPS products through design, experimentation, data analysis, statistics, analytical tools and transfer to commercial production. The project manager will coordinate the project between departments as well as planning and supervising the daily lab work.
In this role a project manager will:
• Understand and engage with the sub-systems of MPS platforms, specifically the Library Prep and Sequencing Chemistry
• Devise and carry out experiments in and spanning MPS platform sub-systems
• Evaluate and standardize analytical techniques to measure sub-system performance including methods such as capillary electrophoresis
• Specify meaningful and measurable performance indicators between sub-systems
• Present complex experimental results and user driven feedback to diverse groups within the company
• Moderate travelling (up to 15%) and customer interaction required
• Manage cross-functional coordination and communication
• Work closely with select customers to understand their user experience and application needs
• Manage upscaling from prototype to production scale
• Deliver high quality project documentation, on time, to design control milestones
Requirements
• Degree in Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, and significant work experience
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of MPS techniques
• 5+ years of experience with PCR, library construction, primer design and analytical instrumentation
• Demonstrated skills in data visualization, communication, and presentations
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Excellent knowledge in Swedish, spoken and written
Preferred qualifications
• Experience in single cell genetic analysis
• Previous experience from project management
