The project manager/order team at ABB Capacitors in Ludvika is a group of about eight project managers working with several projects simultaneously, from small to medium/high complexity in the scope. In the team, apart from keeping control of the projects, we value having a good team spirit and a helpful attitude. We would like to strengthen the group further with someone who has own drive and sense of responsibility, and who can perform both individually and in teams.
Tasks:
The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the deliverance of sales projects. In this role you have the control and responsibility from the beginning to end of a sales project, in close cooperation with functions and departments internally, but also interaction with suppliers and customers. A structured mindset is an asset.
Project managers are responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of assigned projects. Normally reports to the Local BU Order Manager.
Project managers ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that all functions involved deliver as planned. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.
The role contains, but is not limited to:
• agreeing project objectives
• organizing the various professional people working on a project
• carrying out risk assessment
• making sure that all the aims of the project are met
• making sure the quality standards are met
• making sure the customer's specifications are understood
• keep track of people and progress
• carry out project specific purchasing
• monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
• overseeing the accounting, costing and billing
Requirements:
Post graduate education is required, preferably in engineering. PM certification is desired, and/or min 2 years of documented project management of similar scope. Fluent in English, both speaking and writing, is mandatory. Personal skills and attitude is valued highly.
