Project Manager East Asia for International 3P Purchasing
International Purchasing is responsible for China, India, Iran, Japan, East Asia, Russia and Turkey. The department consist of approx 130 people in 5 different sites.
The mission is to lead the International Purchasing Project organization of buyer and SQA in East Asia in order to secure local sourcing objectivities for ATO (Asia Truck Operations). You will work with your team and in close co-operation with different departments within ATO. You will also work with other department in V3P Purchasing.
Main tasks:
• Lead the International Purchasing Project organisation in East Asia to achieve the Project deliveries
• Responsible for the Project expense budget
• Assign resources for the different tasks in front of the Project
• Manage the development of staff and organization
• People responsibility for the team
(PBP, VGAS, Salary Review, Career Development, Training, etc.)
• Work in accordance with the 3P processes, the Volvo Way and the 3P Values and Behaviours
Qualifications, background:
• University level education in a relevant field (engineering, business or similar) or qualifying experience at a comparable level
• A strong track-record of successfully leading purchasing operations
• Ability to coach and lead in a challenging environment
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Pro-active and open mindset
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is a requirement. Other language skills welcome, especially French and Swedish
The position will be initially based out off Gothenburg – Sweden but later on transferred to Asia (China or Japan) depending on candidate.
