PROJECT MANAGER
ROCKET AND BALLOON CAMPAIGNS WITH KNOWLEDGE IN MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION
As project manager, you lead projects towards set goals within our rocket and balloon operations. You participate in the entire project from preparing offers with planning and calculations to evaluation of your projects. You will have both administrative and financial responsibility. The launch of a rocket or a balloon is called a campaign. We have several campaigns during the course of a year and campaign periods vary from a week to several months. Our operations have high safety requirements and as project manager you are also the coordinating manager for safety and work environment questions. Between campaigns we develop and maintain our own and customers' systems and equipment. In these development projects you will participate as either Mechanical Constructor or as Project Manager.
You are an experienced Project Manager used to lead projects within technical operations and you have knowledge in mechanical construction. Your education includes a university degree in engineering as well as experience and/or theoretical knowledge on mechanical construction. As a person you are a good analyst and can quickly see possibilities and solutions to the tasks and problems you have in front of you. You are a natural leader and you motivate your co-workers through your positive attitude and manner. Other valuable assets are your good communication skills, your initiative and cooperation capabilities as well as your ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
This role means that you have a wide contact network externally with customers, suppliers and authorities as well as internally at SSC. We would like you to have experience in working with international customers and that you are comfortable with comprehensive internal and external contacts. You can express yourself well in both spoken and written English and your skills in French or German are a merit. You have a valid category B driving licence.
