www.swedishmatch.comInterested in bringing new and innovative machines and technologies into full-scale industrialisation to produce new and existing products? This is a challenging role for an experienced technical project manager with an interest in driving efficient production in food industry.
Swedish Match is increasing their ambitions to deliver new innovative products and expand geographically, which requires gearing up development plans and operation models. We are now looking for a driven and curious project manager to continuously manage various projects within engineering. These projects can range from pre-studies on new features to installing machines and new technologies in one or more of the company's factories.
Implementing and oversee testing, validation, and quality control processes for new machinery as well as identifying and mitigate risks related to industrialisation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards will be part of your work. The role is broad and involves collaboration and contact with various disciplines and processes throughout the organization. You will work closely with Engineering Development, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure a smooth, cost-effective and timely industrialisation process.
Your key responsibility is to manage the project and ensure progression vs plan, including budget, investment, resourcing, and personnel. You will communicate with internal and external customers and stakeholders on an on-going basis to review project scope at the same time securing knowledge sharing between sites.
In this role you will be part of our function Engineering within Operations and work primary with our Nordic manufacturing facilities. The position is preferable based in Gothenburg with close access to one of our factories and other functions within Engineering, Product Development & Innovation and Operations. But Kungälv or Silkesborg could also be alternatives.
Your profile
• BSc or MSc in Engineering
• Minimum five years of proven experience in project management, preferably in industrialisation, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering, successfully leading projects to completion
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and industrial automation is an advantage
We are looking for someone with inspirational and driving leadership with strong organizational skills that can manage several projects in parallel and coordinate cross-functional teams. To be successful in this role you need to have high integrity and accuracy, as well as a structured and process-oriented work approach. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders is important.
