The section Vehicle and Systems Testing is a section within the department "A&V Environments". Our main purpose is to operate and develop the department's test beds within; Engine Testing, Powertrain Testing, Climate & Aero Testing, Chassi dyno Testing and Emission Testing. Our responsibility is to provide R&D with test beds and test equipment system in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time.
As Project Engineer, within the group Vehicle & Systems Testing Technology you will work in projects designed to acquire new technology for testing of future engines and vehicles. You will work in all project disciplines, from requirements analysis and procurement, deployment and management, to provide a complete system for our client. The group cooperate closely with suppliers from all over the world and you will have a position with much contacts and communication. Due to the continues development process of our products and the demand to work more effective, our test cells need to be updated continuously which is an important part in this role. The leading process will implicate development of work processes and procedures from testing cars to testing engines and systems. There is an ongoing project called 202020. The goal is that the project time for develop a new product are twenty weeks. One of the enablers to achieve this goal is to move A&V environments from test cars to test cells. This put focus on Testing Technology's working area.
Main responsibilities
• Define and specify requirements for systems together with our customers
• Monitor the development and the delivery of these systems by suppliers
• Investigate different technical areas
• Work in close contact with suppliers
• Participate in projects representing your technical area
Required qualifications
• University level of technical education or equivalent
• Experience from software system support/installation-related activities
• Good knowledge of vehicle and engines
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Driving license B
• Knowledge in the area engine/system testing is meritorious
• Knowledge of hybrid cars and electric cars is meritorious
• Experience of Analytical Emissions Systems is meritorious
