If you are interested in developing innovative ways to assess drinking water quality and implement water treatment, this temporary position will help you build networks and gain new skills in this field. You will work in a dynamic and cooperative team at the forefront of this research field. Chalmers has a central location within a liveable and connected European city, and excellent office and research facilities including a spacious and well-equipped laboratory.

Job description
The work will be carried out within the division of Water Environment Technology (WET) at the department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers. In this project, you will cooperate with experts on DOM characterisation, chemometrics, and drinking water treatment. You will be surrounded by numerous other ongoing projects in the fields of environmental assessment, urban planning, and resource recovery.

The work will mainly be performed in the laboratory where you will be responsible for performing water quality measurements and will facilitate research activities at Chalmers and other locations. You will participate in laboratory experiments and in field sampling and will coordinate with collaborators at other universities and at various municipal water treatment plants.

Contract terms
Temporary position for a maximum of 360 days. The employment can be either full time or part time (minimum 60%) for this maximum duration.

Qualifications
You have a Masters degree or equivalent in analytical chemistry, aquatic science, or water engineering. You have a basic understanding of water chemistry and prior experience performing water quality measurements in the laboratory and/or in the field, for example TSS, BOD, COD, turbidity, conductivity, alkalinity, absorbance spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy. You are an energetic, independent and motivated person who likes to solve problems and enjoys working in a research environment.
