Responsibilities and Deliveries:
To act as legal requirement and homologation expert for the projects assigned and be the departments representative towards the project, relevant R&D areas and the plant.
To secure prompt distribution of updated or new legal requirements to relevant legal inboxes and keeping control over relevant R&D stakeholders globally.
To plan the complete certification work of the project and act as project leader for the department in the assigned projects;
To work as the main contact with relevant authorities and organizations in relation to any discussions regarding retrieving the approvals and coordinate any additional expertise needed from Vehicle Regulation and R&D areas.
To support the Quality organization in their preparations for CoP activities in the factory to help keep good control of long term compliance for all vehicles.
To handle replies to CCRs and PCRs from Vehicle Regulatory Group.
Be the expert in any upcoming discussions or reporting of non-compliance or safety related issues that needs to be reported to the authorities.
Budget planning and follow up for relevant project.
Support in development of internal processes, ways of working and tools to ensure the team is delivering efficiently.
To have sufficient knowledge in several of the regulations in EU and US to be able to step in as Subject Matter Expert temporarily if needed.
Qualifications and skills required for the role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Regulatory Affairs, or related field
Proven experience in vehicle homologation, product compliance, or automotive regulatory affairs
Strong knowledge of automotive regulations and homologation frameworks for EU and US markets
Hands-on experience preparing and submitting certification documentation
Familiarity with regulatory authorities, technical services, and homologation testing environments
Strong project leadership skills managing multiple stakeholders
Experience in budget planning, reporting, and resource allocation within projects
Strong communication skills, translating regulatory requirements into clear actions
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
