Titel: Professor in Digital Processes in Dentistry
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: Analysis of clinical images and text-based information promotes health care development. This requires, however, that scientific studies of digital processes are conducted so that these can be adapted to a more efficient exploitation of new knowledge. A scientific bridge created between academy, health care and business sector is a prerequisite for this to happen. The purpose of a chair in digital processes in dentistry is that such a bridge is established. The subject area concerns the processes which transform digital information generated in different clinical situation in dentistry into new knowledge that will improve oral health care. Examples of areas relating to such digital processes in dentistry are: Ontologies, Image Analysis, Decision support systems, Record management, Big data - analysis, storage and documentation, Reports and knowledge transfer. JOB ASSIGNMENTS: Research and tutoring/teaching are regarded as main duties. The holder of the position is expected to conduct cutting-edge research, which means to develop digital tools and processes so that they can adapt to a more efficient exploitation of new knowledge in the dental field. Establish partnerships with nearby research active colleagues in academia, dentistry and industry. The position involves teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and participation in continuing education and training, and supervision within the scientific area. The appointment involves participation in the Institute's administrative tasks.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY: The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Demonstrated scientific and pedagogical skills. ASSESSMENT: Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Primarliy scientific skills. The second selection criterion will be teaching skills and administrative skills. Great emphasis will be put on the ability to cooperate. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational program within the first year of employment.
