Through strong technical leadership, we lead the development of complete vehicles for Volvo Trucks and are accountable for the engineering deliverables in FH/FM/FMX and multi-brand product pre-studies and projects. We are a high performing, professional team of project and requirement managers, product structure specialists and vehicle architects who have projects as our home turf. We are continuing our journey to build a high performing department and are now taking a step in strengthening our vehicle function by developing a portfolio and maintenance team to drive the portfolio and maintenance activities for Vehicle Engineering Volvo Trucks in Gothenburg. Therefore we are recruiting an ambitious Product Portfolio Engineer to join our team.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Product Portfolio Engineer you will work closely with the Portfolio & Maintenance Manager with all tasks within the domain. This includes:
Manage the project portfolio for VE Volvo Trucks GOT (PI's, projects, gates, KPI's, PMD)
Manage the Order Office and connected deliverables including budget and resource plans for the Project Management & Vehicle Architecture department (PC24, multi brand)
Support the Portfolio & Maintenance Manager in maintenance activities
Manage relevant product and project governance meetings (VE VT Ref, TQM)
Develop and improve the portfolio management process
The portfolio consists of start cost projects, maintenance, special vehicles, P&IT as well as Advanced Engineering. You will assist in project portfolio analysis, prepare decision materials and secure that correct project portfolio documentation is completed and reviewed. You are responsible to support in the budget process, including forecasts and will prepare updates and propose needed actions to secure a balanced project portfolio.
The position reports to the Chief Engineer Project Management & Vehicle Architecture and is located in Gothenburg. Interviews will start immediately.

A broad knowledge of our product portfolio is an advantage
Experience of order office management
Experience of project and/or portfolio management
Excellent planning skills and experience with MS office (excel, ppt) is a requirement
Excellent written/verbal communication skills are necessary as well as the ability to work independently and as a team member
Fluent English both oral and in writing
