hela Sverige SVT Play is now looking for an experienced Product Owner to join us. As Product Owner of one of our platforms you will have a unique opportunity to influence one of the largest streaming services in the Nordics. Around five million users enjoy our products every week.
THE TEAMS AND WORK PLACE
As a Product Owner at SVT Play you will become an important part of an agile organization, leading one or two cross-functional teams ranging from core back end functionality to pixel pushing design experiences, not only for the major target groups but also user minorities. As part of our crew we take pride in serving everybody regardless of user prerequisites such as cognitive or physical abilities. It is not an easy task since we always compete for attention with the largest streaming services in the world. However, we perform well in a highly competitive landscape and our primary goal is to always serve the Swedes with high end user experiences filled with non commercial content.
Our office is located in Gärdet, Stockholm, however at this point everyone is home based due to the pandemic. Our company language is Swedish, however we use English on a daily basis.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Product Owner you guide new product ideas from initial concept to product launch and assure full benefit realization. You will work close to other Product Owners and collaborate with world class engineers, designers, analysts to maximize your product vision as well as the vision of the service as a whole. SVT Play is at the core of SVT's digitalisation and as a Product Owner you have a central role in this work. It is a challenging job with high user pressure, as SVT Play is constantly increasing in reach every year.
YOUR CHALLENGE, includes but is not limited to:
Leading a cross-functional and user centric team that delivers exceptional results according to strategies set by, and in collaboration with, the Product management team.
Set an ambitious and clear Product vision and communicate it effectively in collaboration with the product team, other teams and stakeholders.
Always maintain a high level of alignment between your team and others, and inspire the team to reach the product's vision as well as the vision of the service in total.
Understand and contribute to the end-to-end team output, from ideation to
production.
Own and maintain the backlog while prioritizing the day-to-day work of the Product
team based on the given targets and KPIs.
Take responsibility for the financial impact of team- and product-related decisions.
Utilize industry knowledge to the benefit of the team's vision and output.
Define, implement and track performance metrics throughout the full product lifecycle.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have at least a couple of years of experience as a Product Manager/Owner (or equivalent role) from large, complex services as well as a strong appreciation of technology, design and analytics from working in a cross-functional team. You have experience of building end-to-end product strategy, including definition of scope, roadmap, and goals and of understanding product development from ideation to release. You have also a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering/business/economics or equivalent relevant for the position and are fluent in Swedish and English (both written and spoken).
