This role combines the responsibilities of a Product Owner-driving embedded product development with a user-centric and platform-aligned approach-with team leadership responsibilities. You will lead a team of embedded system developers, support collaboration with other teams and stakeholders, and play a key role in team development, performance, and motivation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on combining strategic product ownership with hands-on leadership of a technical team.
Key Responsibilities
As Product Owner:
Own and prioritize the backlog, translating product vision and roadmap into user stories and tasks.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Technical Product Managers to deliver high-quality features aligned with customer needs and technical feasibility.
Foster a collaborative team environment with hardware and software developers, UX/UI designers, Scrum Master, and stakeholders.
Prioritize embedded systems and platform improvements that directly impact product features or control system capabilities.
Handle and prioritize support cases escalated from the global service team, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
Act as the main point of contact for production regarding embedded control systems, configuration tools, and end-of-line testing.
Collaborate with the Scrum Master and technical team to define user stories and ensure timely delivery with expected quality standards.
Validate features and user needs using feedback loops, testing, and analytics.
As Team Lead:
Lead and support the team day-to-day, providing coaching, support, and regular development dialogues.
Foster a high-performing, psychologically safe, and collaborative team culture.
Provide feedback and guidance on performance and development needs in coordination with the line manager.
Support resource planning, recruitment, and onboarding.
Act as a cultural role model, promoting cross-team alignment and driving change during organizational transformation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in embedded or control systems.
Prior leadership experience or clear potential for formal people leadership.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
Deep understanding of embedded systems and integration into product development.
Familiarity with C/C++ and embedded development practices.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog and sprint management.
Experience handling technical support cases and collaborating with technical teams.
Analytical skills with focus on technical product development and customer needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and collaboration across hardware, software, and business teams.
Ability to listen to feedback and adjust product direction accordingly.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team through challenges and disagreements.
Skilled at balancing short-term delivery and long-term goals.
Ability to make informed decisions on feature prioritization based on business needs, user value, and technical resources.
Contribute to a positive work environment where team members feel supported and motivated.
Lead with stability and clarity even when all facts are not available.
What We Offer
A strategic role combining product ownership and technical team leadership.
An international and collaborative work environment.
Competitive salary and benefits package.
Opportunities for personal and professional development.
