Within Digital Machining at Sandvik Coromant, we have the mission to explore new market opportunities, establish strategic partnerships and develop digital solutions, standards and intelligent machining technologies to enable Sandvik Coromant to reach set objectives for growth and future market position.
To the Digital Machining Business team - where we all share a passion for innovation and developing new solutions - we are looking for a Product Manager for Feature Based Software. Someone who wants to be part of a new and creative area in our business: working in modern and exciting environment and interacting in a dynamic and international setting. This position is global flexible, however we do prefer if you are located in Sandviken, Sweden.
Key performance areas
As Product Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing a competitive portfolio and product plan of feature based software products within Digital Machining and the pre-machining area. Working in close collaboration with the industry and our customers, you ensure strategies, a go to market, revenue models and feature applications where software products can and should be developed. An important part of your mission is to recognize opportunities for feature based software corresponding to customer needs and technology readiness, including ways for us to add value to our customers and our offer, and you initiate new software development projects. You also work closely to our R&D department in setting specifications of demands for new pre-machining software: identifying incidents that need handling and being actively involved in ongoing product and application development projects.
Travel is included to some extent.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business or Product Management or a technical field, or who has gained equivalent experience through previous work. You have at least five years' experience from working as a Product Manager or Application Engineer and a technical background combined with broad knowledge of machining processes and CAM and machine tool NC programming. Insight in Industry 4.0, process monitoring and sensor based products are highly valuable. As we operate in an international setting, you have great communication skills in English, in both speaking and in writing.
We place great value on your personal qualities in this recruitment. You are analytical and well organized, planning your work and following up on your performance to meet objectives and ensure high quality results. You combine your strong technical skills with team spirit and, by taking new initiatives, driving improvements and being solution-oriented, you develop our business. Understanding and anticipating customer needs and marketing concepts comes naturally to you, as does prioritizing your assignments in a sometimes fast-paced environment. An outgoing personality, great communication and networking skills and the ability to cooperate at all levels of the organization are necessities for success in this position.
We actively work to create a workplace that is characterized by diversity and inclusion.
