A position is available in our main office in Stockholm, Sweden. This position will mainly involve work in the development of solder databases for thermodynamic and kinetic calculations to be used with our software products. The successful candidate will join the development team and contribute to the development of our own products, but mostly will work with tailor made applications and databases for some of our individual clients. This work means that you will take part in and also run by yourself both internal and external development projects.

The ideal candidate should have:
• Ph.D. in material science or similar, or alternatively a masters degree with experience in the CALPHAD and computational materials science and engineering field.
• Good knowledge of, and experience in using the Thermo-Calc and DICTRA software packages (or similar software).
• Good experience (and a track record) in modeling and assessments of solder alloys.
• Experience of ab initio calculations (as an advantage, but not a requirement).
• Programming knowledge and experience (as an advantage, but not a requirement).

The candidate should be self-directed, used to working independently and be capable of handling parallel tasks issued by different assigners. The candidate is expected to be outgoing, show initiative and enterprise with a structured way of working and great ability to collaborate with other people. The candidate must have a good command of the English language.
