Wheelys is a chain of organic bicycle cafés that enables young people to start their own cafés. Since starting last year, Wheelys has sold over 500 cafés in 60 countries, which means it's growing faster than any fast food chain. Ever.
Wheelys vision is to make it easier for passionate people without money to open their own cafés, shops, and restaurants. Wheelys was hosted at Y Combinator (the accelerator behind Airbnb, Dropbox, and Reddit) and has been funded by, among others, Othman Laraki (Color Genomics), Paul Buchheit (creator of Gmail), Jared Friedman (founder of Scribd), and Justin Waldron (co-founder of Zynga).
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
We are looking for an experienced product designer to be part of our team. You are an incredible designer with strong visual design skills in a variety of mediums and styles. You are passionate about perfection but you are used to tight deadlines and you love to work with speed.
We want you to create beautiful, innovative, design across different fields and you want to have an important role in Wheelys Cafés future design development. You probably have a degree in industrial design. We offer you unlimited amounts of our wild and irresponsible mess of coffee, opposite thinking, awesome colleagues and travels. The task is challenging but offers the chance to create history.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
WHO YOU ARE * You are an autonomous self starter who take responsibility for every detail in your work. * You're constantly pushing your limits, enjoying the many challenging tasks that come with the adventures of a global start-up business and you do whatever it takes to make things work. * You have a fundamental understanding of what makes an experience good or bad-you can think through customer problems and find solutions.
You understand technical and resource limitations which affect your design decisions. * You can quickly produce multiple concepts and prototypes - pretty much welding things together during lunch. * You have prior experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams. * You have a suitable education and previous work experience. * Cool life experiences that gives you some insight into your job. * CAD skills is valuable.
