Now do we want an individual to join Business Control within the PPP - Planning, Product development and Purchasing function
Challenge description:
Do you want to contribute to ensure a competitive product offer for Volvo Penta by leveraging the process and the decisions through your expertise on product cost?
You will guide, validate and support product cost focus in product projects, providing a proactive and engineered management of product cost in the product development phases. You will gain a valuable competence in the company by combining business understanding, product knowledge and project management.
In practice you will:
• develop and provide guidelines, instructions and tools for manage Product cost in projects
• secure in Project that correct method is applied and review of product cost target and its break-down
• support responsible person/s in project activities to estimate, calculate and validate Product cost, and if necessary re-balance the Product cost targets
• support project and line management on the impact of product cost in the business case analysis
• represent finance in various investigations and groups

Competence Profile:

Self-driven and highly motivated: for an individual who wants to play a key role in developing the Product cost management in projects within Volvo Penta.
• A formal University degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering
• Experience of financial project management (preferably from the Automotive industry),
• Ease with Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Knowledge of Volvo systems like Global Purchasing System (GPS),Volvo PDM System (Kola) is a plus
