We currently have the following job opening;
Product Cost Controller
As a member of the Program Finance team the Product Cost Controller assures that unit costs are accurate and up to date during the different phases of a program. This means that the cost information accurately follows the development phase requirements and can be used to support program decisions.
The Product Cost Controller also ensure that BOM (Bill of Material) used for the calculation variants are aligned with the engineering structure and updated according to latest purchasing information.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Ensure that all relevant cost items from estimates and contracts are accurate and in line with the progress of the sourcing process
• Safeguard that the cost forecast reported is in line with the progress of the product change management process
• Update and assure the quality of the product cost information database (material cost, vendor tooling and Design & Development costs)
• Plan and execute cost related activities together with Vice President/PSS responsible for functional areas
• Support line management in the sourcing activities and with business case analysis
• Report cost forecasts to concerned groups
• Report problems and participate in improvement work on present and future procedures, processes and systems
• Represent finance in various investigations and groups
Profile and Background
• University degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering
• At least 2-5 years of financial project management (preferably from the Automotive industry)
• Structured and analytical with a thorough mindset
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in teams in a changing environment
• Fluent in English and preferable Swedish or/and Chinese
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture is an advantage
