We offer our customers services in three business areas; interim logistics and procurement consultants, recruitment of buyers and logisticians, as well as development of our customers' supply chain operations in terms of strategies, models, methods, processes, structure and competence.
On behalf of our customer we are looking for a procurement specialist and operational buyer. The assignment is for a period of 6 months beginning this summer and located in Landskrona. If you have been working a couple of years with supply planning in a fast pace, international manufacturing business environment this could be the next career move for you!
The role
The mission of the Procurement Specialist is to be supplier responsible and main contact for all delivery related issues on local site level. The aim is to make sure that the suppliers are delivering on time according to demand. You will analyse and understand fluctuations in forecasts and pro-actively work together with the suppliers to secure correct safety stock levels. The position will also drive phase in of new items at suppliers and phase out of outgoing items at suppliers. Further it will aim to identify supplier development projects for driving logistic cost development, lead time reductions, material planning improvements and EDI-implementation in close collaboration with the responsible Site Sourcing Manager, Category Manager and the rest of the local site operations team.
Experience and competence
To this assignment a higher education within the logistics field or comparable working experience is preferable. To be successful you also need a minimum of 3 years of work experience from call-off, supply planning or demand planning functions in an international manufacturing business environment. Experience in ERP system logic, preferably Microsoft AX/D365 is needed as welll as MS Office competence. You are used to working with cross-functional teams and have experience in negotiations and communication with external suppliers.
You have strong analytic and communication skills with ability to handle a lot of information and activities at the same time. You have a high level of problem-solving attitude and you are always looking for improvements. As a person you have a holistic and structured approach and well developed social skills. You walk the extra mile to meet deadlines and expectations from the organization.
As our customer is acting on an international arena you are fluent in English (preferably also in Swedish) and able to travel.
