We are now looking for a procurement manager who will form an integral part of the Sourcing and Logistics function in the achievement of Business objectives. With a strong, solid background in purchasing, container shipping, forwarding, and or supply chain management, the successful candidate will take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations and implementing changes. The role is key in developing strategic supplier relations, leading the Company forward in securing quality shipping services covering on time delivery as well as flexibility in own trades and reduce cost overall.The position is a full time permanent employment based in Gothenburg and for the right candidate offers highly challenging work in an international environment as well as opportunities to get a solid base of procurement business, to grow and develop professionally within the company.Responsibilities & TasksRun procurement to assigned targets, business needs and market opportunities in assigned trades.· Meet purchase requests from business units in timely and professional manner, and suggest improvements as needed to make best commercial purchases while meeting business needs.· Record and communicate the results of completed purchasing processes in easy accessible and systematic way.· Establish and maintain clear interface and support to all main contacts.· Ensure usage of Contract Management processes. · Assist with potential claims, take corrective actions as needed and ensure involvement of legal in timely manner.· Take active role in the work to further develop and implement common processes, routines, templates for increased quality and efficiency. · Spend 20% of job driving function relevant projects.QualificationsCollege/University degree in relevant area logistics or procurement orientation. At least a few years of working experience within purchasing, container shipping industry and/or logistics, or sales within container line. Experience as forwarder is also advantageous. · Solid analytical skills. Able to define and understand the most critical issues and to set and manage structure. You take a structured approach to analysis, seeking out information and recognizing when more data is required. You use the data to draw out trends.· Strong supplier relations skills, strong negotiating skills and thorough understanding of supplier market and key drivers.· Good communication skills.
